Young Ladies Christian Fellowship

If you haven't gone there recently, I think you'd really enjoy going over to Young Ladies Christian Fellowship. They have recently had quite a few good posts dealing with guy-girl friendships. Very insightful posts! I also recently read there a poem entitled, I Belong To Another by Gretchen Louise Glaser. It's a wonderful poem about saving herself for her future husband. Why don't you take a look!

    Hello Anna...

Thanks...hopefully I'll get around to posting your poem on my blog soon!

So you want to teach ballet too? That's great...have you had any experience yet? I've taught a bit...ran my own Christian ballet school when I was 16 and 17...and it's fun, especially with the little ones! And I saw you mentioned Ballet Mag. in several of your posts...do you get to see them perform often? Have you ever been to one of their Summer Intensives? I went to the one in 2003 and it was great...but I discovered that I didn't really want to be a professional dancer! But anyway...I'll quit talking about ballet!

And since I AM posting a comment on this post (which happened to be the most recent one)...I agree that the recent posts at YLCF have been great! That's such a wonderful site as a whole...very encouraging.

Well, thanks again for letting me use your poem...have a great day!

Hi Jessica! Yes, I have seen Ballet Magnificat perform quite a few times, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each and every time! We just recently went to their production of Ruth, which was amazing! I haven't really taught yet. I helped my praise dance teacher with the younger girls a few years back. I am planning to teach at least 3 girls, whose parents have been asking me to for some time, as soon as I turn 16. So this fall, I'll be trying. I did direct a musical last year, which involved choreographing and teaching songs and actions, and that was a lot of fun!

This summer I'm going to the Ballet Magnificat! summer intensive for the first time. I've wanted to ever since I started dancing! However, I don't think I'm cut out to be a professional dancer anyways, since I don't take classes every day, and didn't start when I was really little. I wouldn't want to dance with anyone besides Ballet Magnificat if I did though... other dance companys usually aren't very modest.

It's been fun "talking" with you through comments!

It's been fun "talking" with you too! I hope that you enjoy the Intensive this summer...are you going for two weeks or four? Yes, I agree, if I ever did want to dance professionally, it probably would only be with Ballet Mag! Like you, even if I did want to be a professional ballerina, it probably wouldn't work out since I haven't had the chance to dance intensively (i.e. consistently take a lot of classes from a good teacher) at all...but the Lord knows what He's doing!

And by the way, as soon as I post this comment, I'm going to post your poem on my blog, so it should be up there soon!

I'll be going for two weeks. I don't think I'd be able to last for four!

By the way, just wondering... how old are you?
